Kona Coffee Farm Tour

My husband and I loved our visit at Rising Kona! Sej gave us a tour of the farm and made us a great cup of coffee, which we got to enjoy while looking out at the stunning view and learning so much about how the coffee was made. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about what Rising Kona and we can't wait to come back and see how much they have grown in the future.

Was a great experience. Learned a lot about a drink I have been drinking for years.

Spontaneously decided to take a tour while in Kona and Rising Kona turned out to be a great choice. They are a newer operation, super close to town and very accomodating. Braidon gave us a fun and thorough tour packed with information and infused with personality. We were also fortunate to meet Jason at the end and picked up some excellent coffee. That is probably the only downside- you won't want to drink anything else 🙂

Absolutely had a blast on this free tour. Our tour guide Sej was so friendly and gave us an in depth explanation of the coffee process. She also had a coffee tasting for us. She walked us around the farm showing us where the beans are grown and roasted. She was so easy talk to and joke around with. Her son (off from school) also gave us a cute explanation of what they do at the farm. Come and support this new and upcoming coffee farm!

We had an amazing experience with Sej on this personal tour! Speaking for myself, I always drink my coffee with cream and sugar, but Rising Kona has changed my coffee life. Once you drink Rising Kona black, you can't go back! SO impressed and humbled by what we learned about the process, the dedication of the people who are involved in each step, and the natural, perfect environment that it takes to make a cup of coffee. Our tour was very relaxed and was a beautiful way to start our morning. We just brewed our first pot since returning to NYC and it brought us right back. We loved the tour at Kona Coffee Farm. A must go if you stay in Kona.

Our visit to Rising Kona Coffee Farm was one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Island! Booking was quick and easy, just a short distance from downtown Kona up a stunning hill that apparently hosts a beautiful mansion. Sage, our guide, was amazing in answering all our questions. She described not only the history of the farm, and not only how to grow the beans but how the flavors form and which has the most caffeine! For the first time, I throughly enjoyed black coffee - no creamer! She noted that the coffee community on Kona actively supports each other. I hope she is able to sell other Kona made products in their shop soon. Amazing views, great photo ops, easy access to see the trees. Loved being followed by Cookie the cat! Now we even know how pepper corns are grown (photo)! Highly recommend this personal truly authentic coffee farm tour! Thank you Sage and Cookie!!
